Your Mental Wellbeing check-ins remain private.
Nothing you write in Mental Wellbeing is shared with a Life Coach. If you choose Life Coaching, you decide what you want to tell them yourself.
Life Coaching is support for the career side of working in film, television and entertainment — the parts that are hard for reasons that have nothing to do with talent.
Imposter feelings. Confidence. Rejection. Long stretches between jobs. Audition fatigue. Comparing yourself with everyone else. Suddenly landing something much bigger. Coming back after time away. Not knowing what comes next.
If you have ever finished a job and felt oddly flat, or been offered the thing you wanted and immediately assumed they had made a mistake — that is the territory.
Your first Life Coaching conversation can be 30 minutes free.
Half an hour with a coach who knows the industry, to talk about whatever is actually in the way at the moment. You would be asked a few questions beforehand — in your own words, written by you — so that the half hour is coaching rather than background.
What you choose to put in those answers is entirely up to you.
Life Coaching is not open for booking yet.
When it opens, you will be able to book your free 30-minute session from this page.
You can put your name down now, so that you are told when booking opens.
Your email address and this one app. Nothing you have written in Mental Wellbeing goes with it, and nothing here is shared with a coach.
Adults working in, or trying to get into, the industry — performers and crew alike. A director, writer, stunt performer, dancer or camera assistant can have exactly the same “everyone else knows what they’re doing and I’m about to be found out” experience as an actor.
Life Coaching is for adults aged 18 and over.
Life Coaching is not therapy, psychological assessment, diagnosis or mental-health treatment. A coach is not a clinician, and coaching is not a substitute for professional care. If that is what you need, there is a separate professional pathway and we will help you reach it.
If you use Mental wellbeing in Casting Lounge, that is yours alone. Your check-ins, your notes and everything you have written there stay private to you.
Nothing from Mental wellbeing is shared with a coach, with this service, or with anyone else. Reading this page changes nothing about it. Life Coaching is a separate thing you would choose separately, and it would only ever know what you chose to tell it.
Life Coaching runs through Events Lounge, which is a different service from Casting Lounge with its own account. When booking opens you would be asked to create one.
That is on purpose. Your Casting Lounge account, your Mental wellbeing answers and your check-in history do not travel with you, and there is no shared sign-in between the two. A coach would start from what you tell them, and nothing else.
A private conversation with a coach who knows the industry — about whatever is actually in the way at the moment, rather than a general talk about goals. Because they know the business, you do not spend half the session explaining how it works.
Individual booking is not open yet. When that service opens, you will be able to book your free 30-minute session from here.
Life Coaching will also be available as small-group seminars through Events Lounge. These are designed as practical sessions around working life, confidence, career direction and the pressures that can come with the industry.
They also do something a private session cannot: show you that the thing you had assumed was your own private failing is sitting in half the room.
None is scheduled yet. When a Life Coaching seminar is available, it will appear in Events Lounge.
